week 1
CRH
For my first week of work experience I am working in the international headquarters of the well known company CRH. I am working in the IT department helping to fix printers, change ink cartridges and keyboards. The CRH building is very modern and has lots of facilities such as a restaurant and a gym. The people here are very friendly and have kept me busy. Each day I leave the house at 8:00 in the morning and return home at 17:00, so I am getting a realistic insight into a working environment. I have learned how to erase a computer onto a USB, change the cabling from one desk to another, working VS rooms and creating data on a spread sheet . I have also been monitoring how many many screens are on a desk going around to precisely 297 desks, so as you can imagine I was finished in no time. I also have been given a desk as an IT member is on holidays. Working in the IT department is very busy but the fact that there is never a shortage of things to do keeps it interesting. In IT you meet people from all departments which I like as it means you are really involved in company life. One of my colleagues kindly organised with the facilities department if they would take me on for a few hours to see more aspects in the company. I was mainly carrying boxes from A to B but It was quite enjoyable as I got to explore more of the building and I met some really nice people. My highlight of the week would have to be the food, the restaurant produces fantastic food which I've probably gained a few pounds from.
I felt working in IT was a great experience and I would seriously consider it for a future career.

week 2
Work Experience - Druids Glen
For my work experience I worked in Druids Glen golf club. This was actually my favourite work experience week. The people there were really nice and made me feel very welcome. Unlike other places that I have worked they always had something for me to do and so I was always kept busy. Because of this my day went faster even if I was working 9-5 and I felt I gained more experience because of it. I was doing things from cleaning golf buggies to cleaning the pro shop and making sure the hotel was clean for site inspections. Ok so mostly cleaning but who cares as long as I'm doing something. At the end I was offered a summer job and hopefully I might even get into the hotel for work.
Week 3
Work experience- F&F
For my second work experience I was working in my mums accounting firm. This work experience was ended very soon due to the snow but I still gained some experience. I was sorting client receipts and checking for faulty figures in the day book. Nothing to interesting but I still felt I gained some good experience.
